Bhaktapur Window Restoration

In 2053 BS (1997 AD), the Pasuka Jhyal, a golden window displayed in the North West face of the Bhairabnath Temple in Bhaktapur was restored with the help of contributions done by Dayaram Bhakta Mathema. The 400 year old temple is situated in Taumadi, or the Bhaktapur Durbar Square and is one of the highlights of the Square. The window is richly gold plated and includes five windows with a Toran (triangular plates situated above ancient doors and windows carved with images of gods). A total of 23 tolas of gold have been used for the restoration of the window.
